We don't be home for Christmas this year though, we'll be in Hong Kong, but it's still nice to have a tree up and our friend will be here to take care of the kitties.

I see you left the bottom free so the kitties do not bat the balls off the tree. Hope they do not climb it and make the tree fall over. Remember the tree in Fircrest and Seven and Skittles knocking it over until we tied the tree to the wall?
I always liked the look of the noble firs better!!
My friend had to give up on Christmas trees b/c somehow her cat would climb up to the top, then slide down the sides...taking down all the decorations, and most often, the tree too.
